Terms of Service

By accessing our website (gblur.in), submitting a project enquiry, or engaging Gaussian Blur (OPC) Private Limited ("Gaussian Blur", "we", "us") for any service, you ("Client") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These Terms, together with any project proposal, statement of work, or invoice issued by us, constitute the entire agreement between the parties. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our services.

Gaussian Blur provides creative production and publishing services including, but not limited to: • Book publishing (editing, layout, cover design, ebook formatting) • Children's book development (illustration, character design, print layout) • Textbook development (academic layout, diagrams, supplements) • Magazine and editorial design • Storyboarding and animation pre-production • Graphic design (brand identity, marketing collateral) • Digital marketing content (email design, social media, landing pages) Specific deliverables, timelines, revision rounds, and pricing for each project are defined in the project proposal or invoice provided to you.

A project begins upon: (a) written acceptance of a project proposal or quote by the Client; and (b) receipt of any required advance payment. All project scopes are defined in writing. Any additions to the agreed scope (additional pages, new content, new deliverables, format changes) constitute out-of-scope work and will be quoted and billed separately. Rush delivery (expedited timelines) is available at a surcharge. Standard delivery timelines are those specified in the project proposal.

Fees & Structure Service fees are as specified in the project proposal or invoice. Prices are in USD or INR as agreed. Payment Schedule Unless otherwise agreed in writing: • Projects under USD 500: Full payment in advance. • Projects USD 500–2,000: 50% advance, 50% on delivery. • Projects above USD 2,000: 40% on commencement, 40% at milestone, 20% on delivery. Payment Methods We accept payments via Razorpay, Stripe, and PayPal. All transactions are processed securely by these providers. Late Payments Invoices unpaid after the due date will incur a late fee of 2% per month on the outstanding balance. We reserve the right to suspend work on overdue accounts until payment is received. Taxes The Client is responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or levies in their jurisdiction. Indian clients will be charged GST as applicable under Indian law.

Each project package includes a specified number of revision rounds as defined in the proposal. A "revision round" means one consolidated set of feedback applied to the current version of the deliverable. Additional revision rounds beyond the included quantity are available at the applicable hourly or per-round rate. The Client agrees to provide feedback within the timeframes specified in the project timeline. Delays in Client feedback that push the project beyond the agreed delivery date are not the responsibility of Gaussian Blur.

Client Ownership Upon receipt of full payment, the Client receives full ownership of the final deliverables produced for their specific project. This includes design files, layouts, and edited content. Gaussian Blur Retains We retain ownership of all preliminary concepts, unused design directions, process files, and proprietary tools and templates used during production. We also retain the right to display completed work in our portfolio unless the Client explicitly requests confidentiality in writing before project commencement. Third-Party Assets If the project incorporates licensed third-party assets (stock photography, typefaces, icons), the Client is responsible for ensuring they hold or obtain the appropriate licenses. Gaussian Blur will advise on licensing requirements but is not liable for Client misuse of licensed assets. Client-Provided Materials The Client warrants that all materials provided to Gaussian Blur (text, images, brand assets) are owned by or properly licensed to the Client, and do not infringe any third party's rights.

Both parties agree to keep confidential any non-public information received from the other party in connection with a project engagement. This obligation survives the termination of any project. Gaussian Blur will not share Client project files, manuscripts, or business information with any third party except as required to deliver the service (e.g., a specialist contractor working under NDA) or as required by law.

Client Cancellation If the Client cancels a project after commencement: • Work completed to date will be invoiced at the applicable rates. • Any advance paid will be applied against the cancellation invoice. • No refund will be issued for work already completed. Gaussian Blur Cancellation If we are unable to deliver a project due to unforeseen circumstances on our end, we will refund advance payments proportionate to the undelivered work. Disputes We encourage direct communication to resolve any dissatisfaction. Please contact us at hello@gblur.in before raising a dispute through any payment processor.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law: • Gaussian Blur's total liability for any claim arising from a specific project shall not exceed the total fees paid by the Client for that project. • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profit, loss of data, or loss of business opportunity. • We are not liable for delays caused by Client feedback delays, third-party service disruptions, or force majeure events (including natural disasters, pandemics, or internet outages).

Gaussian Blur warrants that: • Services will be performed by qualified professionals with reasonable skill and care. • We hold the rights to any original content, tools, or templates we use in your project. We do not warrant that our services will meet specific sales or commercial outcomes for your published work. Creative results are subjective and dependent on Client approval of the direction taken.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or our services shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws in the Client's jurisdiction. For international clients, both parties may agree in writing to arbitration under internationally recognised arbitration rules.

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For active project engagements, the Terms in effect at the time the project proposal was accepted shall govern that engagement.
